Activity Days Agenda
By on July 26th, 2009
I can’t claim all these ideas, but here is a schedule that we follow for each Activity Days activity.
Each girl takes a turn being “President of the Day”. Her responsibilities include:
- Come to the activity prepared to share a short thought from The Friend
- Bring a small snack to share with the other girls (I always let the parents know that it is not a big deal if they don’t bring a snack)
- Conduct the opening exercises portion of Activity Days
Opening Exercises
- Pass out snacks as girls arrive
- Opening Song (chosen by the leader)
- Opening Prayer (chosen by the President of the Day)
- Recitation of the “theme” found in the Faith in God for Girls book on the inside front cover
- Share the thought from The Friend
- Activity
- Closing Prayer (chosen by the President of the Day)
Some girls really like bringing a snack, some like to be in charge, and I hope all of them are getting some experience in basic leadership skills that they will use as Young Women and later on in their many callings in the Church.
Here’s the actual agenda that we give to the girls for their reference.
